LISA MESSHAM

PRINCIPAL

Lisa started dancing at the age of 3 with the Elsber Scool of Theatre Dance, at 16 she went to further her studies at Merseyside Dance & Drama Centre, graduating with distinction in 1992. For the next 5 years Lisa worked as a professional dancer touring with many companies and performing in various Production Shows throughout Scandinavia, Greece, Holland, Switzerland and the UK. In 1996, Lisa was performing in a show in Menorca when she was approached by an agency to set up her own production company. Lisa started LM PRODUCTIONS with just one show "ON BROADWAY", after a sell out success in Menorca the following year,  Lisa was asked to produce more shows. Over the next 10 years Lisa produced, choreographed and performed (until 2003 ) in her shows for many of the top hotels in Menorca and also other venues throught the world.

In 2003, Lisa returned to the UK, to persue her teaching career. Aswell as teaching at NWSD, Lisa specialised in Key Stage3, G.C.S.E. & A - Level Dance at many Primary and Secondary schools, in North Wales and the North West. Lisa is also a dance tutor for Clwyd Theatr Cymru, teaching dance for the Junior Youth Theatre summer schools.

Julie Lambert

Julie is originally from Sittingbourne in Kent and started dancing when she was 5 years old. After leaving school Julie continued her studies at the London College of Dance and Drama from where she graduated with associateships of the Imperial Soceity of Dancing in all the main genres of dance and also membership of the Royal Academy of Dance.

Since joining the North Wales School of Dancing Julie has taught various forms of dance ( firstly with Barbara O'Grady and, more recently, with Lisa Messham) with pupils ages ranging from 3 - 73!!

Dawn Hughes-Conroy

Dawn trained at the Hammond School, Chester as a dance associate from the age of 4 years old, taking ISTD and RAD exams. In 1999, Dawn went full time on the Musical Theatre course and graduated
in 2002 with a Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance and all her teaching qualifications. In August 2002, Dawn began teaching at AalesandFestival work. Dawn has recently choreographed a piece for the hairdressers Denton & Hyde (Chester), they competed in the 2011 Scwarzkopf Colour Creative Comp, 4 NWSD girls were very lucky to be chosen by Denton & Hyde to take part in this prestigious event. year, the touring production of Beauty and The Beast. In 2007 Dawn returned home to Chester and started teaching for NWSD. Dawn teaches Ballet,Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hiphop, Limbering and Ballettskole in Norway and in 2003 choreographed the Musical Theatre production of My Fair Lady
for the Norwegian National Opera. Dawn returned to England in 2004 and taught for The Elsber School of Theatre Dance for a year before moving to Scotland to teach at Ecosse Performer's College. In 2005 Dawn choreographed the touring production of The Lion King and the following year  the touring production of Beauty & The Beast. In 2007 Dawn returned home to Chester and started teaching at NWSD, Dawn teaches Ballet, Moder, Tap, Jazz, Hiphop and festival work.

 Dawn also teaches for the Elsber School of Theatre Dance and is
a dance tutor for Clywd Theatr Cymru.

Alex Wilson

Trained at the Hammond School of Dance, Chester from the age of 11 to 19 years. Miss Wilson then went on to dance professionally in Japan and the Far East with many dance companies. Alex teaches Ballet in the Ruthin and Rhyl bracnches and also the curriculum Ballet at Howells School. Alex also teaches for the Elsber
School of Theatre Dance.
